Reseda plumbers who know the area
Reseda began in 1912 as the town of Marian and was renamed in 1921 after a garden flower, the mignonette. It stayed mostly farmland until after World War II, then grew from about 4,000 people in 1940 to more than 16,000 by 1950. Many of those post-war homes still have their original galvanized water lines and cast-iron or clay drains.
About half of Reseda’s homes are rented, from single-family houses to apartment buildings along Reseda Boulevard, Sherman Way and Victory Boulevard. The 1994 Northridge earthquake was actually centered in Reseda, just west of Reseda Boulevard between Arminta and Ingomar streets.
We work throughout Reseda, from the streets around Reseda Park and its lake to the neighborhoods along Vanowen Street, Saticoy Street and Roscoe Boulevard.

Reseda plumbing questions
Was the 1994 Northridge earthquake centered in Reseda?
Yes. The epicenter was in Reseda, just west of Reseda Boulevard. If your home still has its original pipes, it’s worth making sure the water heater is strapped, the gas and water shutoffs work, and old lines aren’t leaking. See our earthquake plumbing guide.
My Reseda home was built in the 1950s. Do I need to repipe?
Not always. Low water pressure, rusty water or repeated leaks usually mean the galvanized lines are near the end. We inspect them and tell you honestly whether repairs or a repipe make more sense. See galvanized pipes: when to repipe.
Do you work for Reseda landlords and property managers?
Yes. About half of Reseda’s homes are rented. We handle tenant calls, water heaters and main line clogs, and we can send photos and notes for your records.
