Sewer camera inspection in Los Angeles

A waterproof camera on a long cable shows the inside of your drain and sewer lines. You see what we see, so any repair is based on facts instead of guesses.

What needs fixing?

Why it’s worth doing

Most sewer problems stay hidden underground until they turn into a backup. A camera inspection shows roots, cracks, sags, shifted joints and buildup, and pinpoints exactly where they are.

That means no guesswork and no unnecessary digging. And if the line is in good shape, you know that too.

Repeat clogsFind the cause instead of clearing the same clog again.
Before a remodelMake sure old lines can handle a new bathroom or kitchen.

Older homesLines from before the 1970s are often clay or cast iron.
Before hydro jettingCheck the pipe’s condition before high-pressure cleaning.

What you get

  • A camera run through the line, with the video on screen as we go.
  • The exact location and depth of any problem, marked from above ground.
  • A plain-language explanation of what we found.
  • A written price for any repair, with no pressure to decide on the spot.

What affects the price

You get a written price before any work starts. These are the things that move it.

AccessAn accessible clean-out is quickest. Otherwise we may go through a toilet or roof vent.
Line lengthLong runs to the street take more time.
Clearing firstA fully blocked line may need clearing before the camera can pass.

Sewer camera inspection questions

Should I get a sewer inspection before buying a house?

For an older home, yes. Sewer replacement is one of the more expensive repairs a house can need, and a standard home inspection usually doesn’t look inside the line.

How do you find where the problem is?

The camera head has a small transmitter. We find it from above ground with a locator, so we can mark the exact spot and depth.

What can a camera inspection find?

Roots, cracks, breaks, sags where water sits, joints that have shifted, grease and scale buildup, and objects stuck in the line.

Does the line have to be clear first?

The camera needs a path. If the line is completely blocked, we clear it first, then inspect.
